Rio - the city of Samba and Carnival.
Being the Beatlemaniac I am, look where I went: Sargento Pimenta.
If you didn’t understand the name, it is basically Sargeant Pepper written in Portuguese.
It first started last year, with a group of friends that both liked the Beatles and the various rythms this wonderful place we live in (BRASIL!) has. The unexpected popularity proved that Brasil has quite a lot of Beatles’ fans and the creativity made it all much funnier :)
Of course, it was toooo crowded (if you have ever been here, you get the picture…), but it was funny nontheless, and seeing so many people singing along to beatles’ songs (in portuguese and in english) put a smile on my face.
Talk about having fun ;)
